HOW DOES THE VAGINOPLASTY PROCESS PROCEED?

First of all, it is necessary to learn the patient's expectations by performing a detailed gynecological examination. If the patient has another complaint, combined surgery is performed in the same operation according to the complaint, for example vaginoplasty and labiaplasty surgeries. Vaginoplasty takes approximately 1.5 hours. During vaginoplasty, the deformity of the vagina is removed, and narrowing is provided. We usually perform vaginoplasty surgery together with perineoplasty surgery, that is, we also repair deformities at the vaginal entrance.

WHAT IS THE PROCESS AFTER VAGINOPLASTY?

After vaginoplasty, the patient can be discharged the same or the next day. If the patient is working, we recommend resting for a week. After the surgery, we recommend that the patient pay attention to general hygiene rules and diet to avoid constipation. Mild spotting and oedema in the genital area may occur in the first week after surgery.

WHEN CAN SEXUAL INTERCOURSE BE RESUMED AFTER VAGINOPLASTY?

After vaginal tightening surgery, sexual life can be resumed after 7-8 weeks. We recommend the use of lubricant in the first intercourse after surgery. In this way, the patient will overcome the fear of pain.

CAN NORMAL BIRTH BE PERFORMED AFTER VAGINOPLASTY?

If the patient wants the Vaginoplasty procedure to be permanent, we recommend surgery after completing the number of births. If normal birth is performed after vaginoplasty, vaginal enlargement will be observed again
